International Vulture Awareness Day (IVAD) is coming up this Saturday, September 3rd. To celebrate vultures and learn about vulture ecology and spread awareness for endangered vulture species, zoos, museums and other groups across the world are hosting special Vulture Awareness Programs. You can find a list of such programs on the IVAD website.
We’ve created a couple of free, fun, educational puzzle pages to commemorate vultures on their special day. These free downloads are all in PDF format.
Please note: an error to the Vulture Name Tiles Game was discovered on Tuesday, August 30th. The error was corrected at approximately 3:30PM EDT. Please re-download the puzzle if your version was downloaded prior to that time. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Our Vulture Name Tiles game asks you to solve vulture identity questions, using the seven vulture species we have on Birdorable.

Our Vulture Word Search has twelve interesting facts about vultures and 15 keywords to find in the puzzle.

Did we say seven vulture species? We’ll officially add a brand new Birdorable vulture, the Lammergeier, to the site on Saturday, September 3rd. Meanwhile, a new Lammergeier coloring page is available now.

If you use these fun vulture freebies, at an IVAD event or at home, we’d love to hear about it! Send us photos of the pages in action, or the final result – we may showcase them on our blog!

Could you please add a Cinereous Vulture to your site? They are also called Monk Vultures or the Eurasian Black Vulture. They are by far my favorite bird and are so VERY handsome!!
