The Little Egret is a small white species of heron. They live across a wide area of distribution, and can be found in parts of Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. They have an all-white plumage and develop extra-long plumes during breeding season. They can be recognized by their long black legs and bright yellow feet, similar in appearance to the North American species Snowy Egret.
