Baby Birdorable: Killdeer

If you think our Birdorable birds are cute as adults, what about when they are babies? Below are some baby photos (shared via Flickr) of the Killdeer. Killdeer lay their eggs in a shallow scrape on the ground. Typically 4 to 6 eggs are laid, and incubation lasts 22 to 28 days. The babies can walk very soon after hatching.
