Chipping Sparrows are small songbirds native to the New World with a range that covers much of North America. In breeding season, they can be recognized by their black beaks, rufous crown, black eyeline, and unstreaked belly. This is what our Birdorable bird looks like. Non-breeding adults develop a pink beak and lose much of their plumage vibrance. This is our totally cute Birdorable Chipping Sparrow!
