The Common Wood Pigeon, also known simply as Wood Pigeon, is a large species of pigeon found in the Old World. It is the largest species of European pigeon or dove and the most abundant large wild bird found in Great Britain. Wood Pigeons are well-adapted to survive in a variety of habitats and can be found in natural woodlands, rural farmland, urban landscapes, and everywhere between.
