About the Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Also known as: Blue-gray Flycatcher, Sylvan Flycatcher, Western Gnatcatcher, San Lucas Gnatcatcher
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher

The Blue-gray Gnatcatcher is a small songbird that lives across parts of the United States and Canada, Central America, and the Caribbean.

These little cuties are aptly named, as much of their plumage is a blue-gray color. They have white underparts and a white eyering. Breeding male Blue-gray Gnatcatchers have a dark line over their eyes.

Blue-gray Gnatcatchers are constantly on the move, which can be a frustrating "field mark" for birders who often hear them before they are seen.
