About the Cinnamon Teal
Cinnamon Teal

The Cinnamon Teal is a species of dabbling duck found in western parts of North and South America. Much of the North American population is migratory, while birds across a large range in South American are year-round residents.

Male Cinnamon Teals in breeding plumage have a beautiful deep red plumage. Females have a dullish grey-brown plumage. Cinnamon Teals feed by dabbling; they nibble on submerged aquatic vegetation, as well as small invertebrates.

The Cinnamon Teal has a very large and widespread range. The conservation status for this species is Least Concern as of September 2013.
