The beautifully colored Dusky Lory can be found across Indonesia and New Guinea in South-East Asia. They are approximately 10 to 12 inches in length and have distinct markings of yellow and orange.
The natural habitats of the Dusky Lory are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical mangrove forests, and subtropical or tropical moist montanes.
The conservation status of the Dusky Lory is considered to be Least Concern as of June 2013.
