Green-headed Tanager

About the Green-headed Tanager
Green-headed Tanager

The Green-headed Tanager is a songbird found in Atlantic forest habitat in south-eastern Brazil, far eastern Paraguay and parts of far north-eastern Argentina.

Like other birds of its genus, the Green-headed Tanager is a small and very colorful bird. The attractive plumage does well to hide the bird in the forest canopy. However, the Green-headed Tanager is also a regular visitor to bird feeding stations, where it is far more conspicuous.

The population trend for Green-headed Tanagers is stable and the conservation status is Least Concern as of March 2014.
