Grey-hooded Parakeet

The Grey-hooded Parakeet is a relatively small species of parrot found in parts of Argentina and Bolivia. They can be recognized by their green upperparts and their light greyish underparts. They have greenish-yellow flanks and brownish-grey atop the crown.

Grey-hooded Parakeets are gregarious, traveling and feeding in flocks of around 20 individuals. Their diet consists of seeds, fruits, and berries.

These cute birds are also known as Aymara Parakeets or Sierra Parakeets, especially in aviculture, where they are relatively uncommon.
