The Roseate Spoonbill is a large species of wading bird that lives in coastal areas of the southeastern United States and parts of South America.

One of six spoonbill species found around the world, the Roseate Spoonbill is the only spoonbill that lives in the Americas.

Adult Roseate Spoonbills in breeding plumage have gold-buff bare heads. Otherwise the head is greenish. The large pink body really stands out and makes the Roseate Spoonbill a beautiful and striking bird of the south!
