Swainson's Thrush

The Swainson's Thrush is a medium-sized songbird native to the Americas. Males and females look alike; eastern birds tend to be olive-brown, while western birds show more red in their plumage.

Their breeding grounds includes much of Canada and parts of the Pacific Northwest of the United States. Their winter grounds are parts of Central America into western parts of South America.

The Swainson's Thrush feeds primarily on insects and berries. They have a beautiful flute-like song which consists of rising notes.
