The birds in the image below have a lot in common, but one of them doesn't really belong. Can you pick out the species that doesn't go with the others, and tell us what the others have in common? There can be more than one correct answer, so let us know what you think, and why! Visit the meet page if you need help identifying the birds and finding out which one doesn't belong.

There is at least one thing all of the birds have in common: all of them are named for sounds they make. Three of the birds have onomatopoeic names - they named themselves! Killdeer call "kill-deer," Eurasian Curlews call "curloo-oo," and Dickcissels sing "dick dick dick ciss ciss." The Mourning Dove is also named for a sound it makes, but the name is not onomatopoeic. That is why the Mourning Dove does not belong. :)
