The Lammergeier, also known as the Bearded Vulture, differs from other vulture species in that it has a feathered head. The under body is yellow or rusty, while the backside is dark mottled brown. The face is particularly striking, with a red eye-ring, black "beard" feathers, and a light face framed by buff-colored feathers.
