The Passenger Pigeon was a large species native to North America. The species went extinct in 1914. Adult males had blue-grey at the head and neck. The upper back and wings were grey to grey-brown and the throat and breast were a rich pink color. There was beautiful, shiny iridescence around the neck. Adult females were of similar plumage but somewhat duller overall.
