The Snail Kite is a type of raptor or bird of prey that lives across parts of South and Central America. It is also found in southern parts of Florida. Male Snail Kites have a dark bluish grey plumage with red feet and cere (the area at the base of the bill). Females look quite different, with a streaky brown plumage and a light face.
