Lilac-breasted Rollers are one of twelve species of roller found in the world. Lilac-breasted Rollers live across sub-Saharan Africa and into southern parts of the Arabian Penninsula.
Like other roller species, the Lilac-breasted Roller is colorful, with a beautiful lilac breast highlighted by shades of blue, green, brown, tan and cream in the rest of its plumage.
Lilac-breasted Rollers feed on insects, small crabs and small reptiles; they hunt prey on the ground.
