Little Gull

The Little Gull, unsurprisingly, the smallest species of gull in the world. Little Gulls are found across parts of Europe and Asia. They are migratory and most birds spend the winter months in Europe and northern parts of Africa.

In breeding plumage, Little Gulls have black hoods with pale grey bodies. Little Gulls take three years to reach full maturity.

Little Gulls eat primarily invertebrates, including beetles and dragonflies. They also eat small fish. They forage while on foot or catch prey in the air.
