Northern Bobwhite

About the Northern Bobwhite

Also known as: Virginia Quail, Bobwhite Quail, Bobwhite

The Northern Bobwhite is a small species of quail that lives across parts of the southeastern United States and into Mexico.

Northern Bobwhites have a high yearly mortality rate, which leads to the species having a very quick and successful breeding capability. These factors, along with their significance as a game bird, makes the Northern Bobwhite one of the most significant bird species to humans.
