The Pacific Parrotlet is small parrot native to Ecuador and Peru, where it lives in subtropical forests or shrubland.
They are among the smallest of all parrots. In the wild, the male Pacific Parrotlet is green with blue on the wings, back and streaking back from their eyes.
Pacific Parrotlets are sometimes kept as pets. Blue and American Yellow are two color morphs found in aviculture. Because of their size, they are sometimes called "pocket parrots."
