Blue-bellied Roller

About the Blue-bellied Roller

Blue-bellied Rollers are one of twelve species of roller found in the world. Blue-bellied Rollers live in western and central Africa, in a range that spans from Senegal to the Congo.

Like other roller species, the Blue-bellied Roller is colorful, with a dark brown-green back, cream-colored head, blue underparts and a bright blue tail.

Blue-bellied Rollers feed on small invertebrates, reptiles, and insects.
