The Leach's Storm Petrel is a small seabird of the tubenose family. These little pelagic birds are found on both Atlantic and Pacific waters.

Leach's Storm Petrels breed on offshore islands in the Northern Hemisphere. During the breeding season, they are nocturnal to avoid predation. They nest in burrows where they take shelter during daylight hours.
