Hawaiian Goose
The Hawaiian Goose, called Nene in Hawaii, is a threatened species of waterfowl that once thrived on the Pacific island state. Today the Nene numbers 800 wild birds after a captive breeding program began in the 1950's. At that time the wild population was down to just about 30 individuals. This is our totally cute Birdorable Nene, or Hawaiian Goose.

Nene Crossing - A fed Nene is a dead Nene. Help save the Hawaiian Goose, watch out and do not feed!
